JOLIE FOR DANA

approx. 5.5" x 16" oil on gessoed moleskine

This is based on an upcoming memorial commission I will be painting soon. I loved Jolie's dreamlike look and thought she would be a nice addition to Dana's book of dreams.

    What a fabulous cropping in this moleskins and for Dana theme of dream it is so perfect. You work is so lovely, what a sweet girl.

    I love this Angela, thank you!! You had no way of knowing but we just lost our dog of 15-1/2 years. To have this sweet face gracing my book is a reminder of how very special our pets are!

    This really is a special dog portrait, and what grabs me the most (after those eyes) is how the fur looks so soft and I can really imagine how it feels to run my hand across that fur. I think that's not easily done in a painting! Wonderful, Angela!

    Thank you kindly, I did enjoy painting Jolie and am looking forward to painting her again. I like the format of Dana's book (and Michelle's), it is interesting and challenging at the same time.
