Edward Burton

Acrylic
For my theme I chose music, I have it playing all the time in my studio and since jazz is my favorite form of music I did this piece... though I have to admit I'm not terribly adept with acrylic.

  5. Mahvelous, Ed...and all that jazz. I love your theme and looking forward to tackling it...even tho I can't carry a tune in a pickup and use a piano for a paperweight.

  7. Ed, yes you are...with the acrylics. This is awesome, and an interesting theme as well. I'll be sending my book on Monday. Sorry I was planning to send it earlier, but the paint wasn't and isn't dry enough.

  8. I just went back and looked at it again, and I love the way the heads of the singers in the back melt into that beautiful background.

  12. I have just been staring at this painting close up, looking at each figure -- amazing work, and I too started to feel transported and could almost hear the harmony of the singers with all the instruments playing. You have chosen a SUPER theme idea, Edward and your execution of it is wonderful.
