Michelle Burnett - Postcards & Snapshots
Well, I finally got something done! I tried my hand at watercolor which was kind of fun, but now that I've seen others using oil on gessoed paper I might try that. Okay...I changed the name of my theme (ever so slightly) to Postcards & Snapshots...anything to do with you or where you live...your favorite things, places, etc. This is will now be making it's way to Camille. Thanks again Dominique...I'm looking forward to receiving your book soon!

Wow...... I thought the camera was a real one ( btw I have the same one) Great pages.
ReplyDeleteLove your theme too...... it can get us making something in the stop movement for those good at expressing emotions on paper/canvas.
My book is in the mail but did not realize today is a holiday. So they will pick it up tomorrow.
Great idea for your theme, Michelle. Your wonderful opening page really sets the tone and I look forward to contributing.
ReplyDeleteAha, the theme is perfect. Depicting things around the ole' home place. Hmmm...lots of reference material to work with. Do old pizza cartons qualify? This should be fun!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Gosh another great theme, my head's spinning with ideas. Your watercolors are beautiful, Michelle. I really love the paint box angling in from the corner. Yea! great work. :-D
ReplyDeleteGreat theme, you have an excellent composition, each element leading to the next; very well done. Hmmm, I'm thinking of Texas things to add to your book!
ReplyDeleteOkay, Michelle, I'm looking forward to receiving this soon! I'll start formulating my idea for yours as I wait for it in the mail. I had the same problem yesterday - closed post office (no wonder some people mailed Saturday, I didn't think of why), so now Angela's will be delayed a day. Special places here... wow, so many! It will be fun to choose a favorite :)
ReplyDeleteMichelle, cool composition and a wide open theme. I think you are going to see some really neat pictures in your book.
