"The Girl Behind The Painting" by Dana Cooper

10" X 8" oil on paper

This piece is for fellow moleskin artist Camille Olsen. I only know Camille from blogging and facebook, yet somehow I feel that I know her. Besides being beautiful she is full of laughter and life...all very appealing characteristics.
I'm not sure I completely captured her likeness, but the whole painting was fun from start to finish. I would like to really know the girl behind the paintings!
Sorry for the glare, I varnished it before I photographed it...oops!

  3. I just saw this on Dana's blog and was completely blown away! Dana, again, thank you SO much, I really do think this looks like me, and I also appreciate the very nice things you said. I wish I also knew you in 'real life' and I do hope we get to meet sometime! I would also like to paint you, but I need more photo references, ok? Can you shoot any more at me for when I paint you? Same with everyone else, if you have a photo of yourself I could use for your book, please email it to me. thanks, and THANK YOU, DANA!
