Flying Bunny for Irit

My daughter's bunny rabbit has come back here to roost, as she has just moved home. He is very soft and affectionate, loves to run circles around our feet or cuddle up while we watch LOST or Glee. I didn't know what to do for Irit (speaking of 'lost') so, there he was, and now here he is. I started to use brighter colors to suit Irit's color taste more, but he's just bunny-colored so I gave him a darker background to set him off. Hope you enjoy, Irit!

  1. Camille, a flying bunny rabbit...wow...ha! This is a very nice soft treatment for such a soft cuddly subject. Beautiful job.

We are really enjoying Glee as well, what a refreshing change from all the regular CSI formula everything. (Mini rant!)

  3. Nice going, Camille. He looks just like my own "Hefner"...one of the pet rabbits I had in Costa Rica! I like the fuzzy colors and texture...makes me want to go finish off my Easter candy. Good job.

  5. Irit, you are so welcome. Vern thinks he looks like he's flying, and why not?! We all need a flying bunny in our lives, I say. :) Glad you liked it! :)

  7. awwwwww. Some bunny loves you. ;-)
I adore this cuddly guy, and your rendering of him. Plus he watches two of my favorite shows! (you said it, Vern. There ought to be a strip bar and autopsy moratorium on tv for a few weeks...you know I have to jump in on a good rant)

  9. Your bunny is wonderful, Camille. I love the colors in his fur - kind of an opal and castor (I raised rabbits when I was in 4H - none were ever harmed). I, too, enjoy Glee!

  10. I had to look at his eye up close..... I could get lost in that little beauty. Very nice.
I enjoy eating rabbits so it's good he is of the flying kind.
James....... I just now figure out the first name of your bunny in Costa Rica
    "Hugh" .........lol

  11. Camille, I was so excited to see Dean's Lake Anna Swans for my book, that I completely forgot to look at your flying bunny. I can't wait to see your rabbit up close, the colors are beautiful. We have little wild cottontail rabbits in our neighborhood and sometimes on the patio, they have the sweetest little faces, but I really like seeing that little white tail as they hop away. I received your e-mail and will look for Irit's book soon.

  14. Thanks again you guys -- Michelle, yes I did it in Prismacolor pencils. Thought I'd do a little change-up but I think it will be back to oil paint for my next one :0)
