Tracy Grant
First of all, I need to apologize to everyone for being so tardy with painting these days. And I won't get a lot of opportunity in the next couple of weeks...WORK...UGH! Hopefully, this will be dry enough to send along to Ed at the end of the week. With that out of the way, this is a portrait of Tracy Grant, one of Michelle's painting buddies who just happened to be attending Doug's workshop with me in Helper. She was a lot of fun to hang with, and graciously allowed me to snap off a few photos to aid in surprising Michelle.

What a fabulous vista and such a beautiful piece with the painter in it.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to meet her friend in the same workshop.
I am sure it will be a surprise. A nice one.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, beautiful piece.
This is wonderful, Vern. A portrait (of a friend of Michelle's no less) AND a landscape. Really great work.
ReplyDeleteVery, very well done, Vern! A great choice of subject!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Vern. The format of Michelle's book is perfect for this gorgeous panoramic view, nicely done! This is sure to be a perfect surprise for Michelle! Isn't it sad how work must take precedence over our painting lives?
ReplyDeleteWow, this is amazing, Vern! How wonderful of you to paint this...Tracy with the local landscape...I'm thrilled! I will definitely show it to her when I receive it. Thanks a million!
ReplyDeleteVern, can you please just paint something iffy once in a while so I don't have to feel so shabby next to you? This is spectacular, and I love the composition that just keeps leading your eye all over it. Also the blinding whiteness of her shirt in the morning sun and in contrast to the rest of the scene. And Lucky Tracy to get to paint with our Vern! Love this.
ReplyDeleteTerrific painting Vern. Love the composition and the sense of light.
