I had Irit Bourla's Moleskin this month, and her theme is places. Places covers a lot of territory, especially if you consider Uranus and Neptune places. So I narrowed it down to places I've been. Nope...still too much. I settled for the four places I've lived and whipped up a little vignette of each....now I'm hungry for boiled crawfish. This was fun and I hope she likes it.
P.S. I hope y'all don't mind me doing this, but I invite you to join me in the two-month "Pooch Portrait" exchange on Windows to the Words (click here). Should be a lot of fun.

ReplyDeleteDUDE, why do you have to make me look so bad and lazy!?! Not that we're competing here, but... if we were it would Not bode well for me. You sure poured out your heart and soul for Ms. Irit. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThese are great James...all interesting places and very creatively represented. Your bright colours and bold lines are your signature, and always tell a story.
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful, James! Each one beautifully designed.
ReplyDeleteWow, four paintings! Love the composition and design of each one!
ReplyDeleteSimply POWERFUL, the effort, dedication and thought behind this is simply superb! Only James can do this sort and still add humour to it!
ReplyDeleteJames, love each one of these and the detail and thought you put into each one, very well done! I'm ready for some boiled crawfish myself and a couple of ice cold longnecks wouldn't be bad either!
ReplyDeleteJames, I absolutely love this! My favorite is Texas. I am so glad you put the bluebonnets in there! I did check your july/august post in early july looking for something to paint. Remember, we just did a dog with that little girl. I am sorry I missed the challenge with the glass bottles! I will check your Sept. challenge. Although, my kids will be back in school and my sched. will get busier.
