This for Angela whose theme is places. I thought I'd keep with the same theme as Vern had for Angela's book (dogs in other countries), so I used a photo I took when my wife and I were on the island of Santorini, Greece - it seemed like even the dogs enjoyed the beauty that surrounded them.
I love it.......... "even the dogs enjoy the beauty ". Perfect !
ReplyDeleteThese dogs look very peaceful gazing out at the view. I am curious how they got up on the roof...great job!
ReplyDeleteWow! You really captured the tranquility and drama of Santorini. I remember a hair-raising donkey ride up the hills with my backpack when I was in college. Have dreamed of going back. Santorini plus dogs--couldn't be more perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love this one. Great idea Ed.
ReplyDeleteSantorini is one of my favorite places.
Wonderful painting, Edward...looks like a beautiful place! Dogs are the perfect choice of subject for you and Angela!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat painting, Ed. The "dog's eye view" is a winner...and I'm sure they're enjoying the music playing on the stereo next door...Yanni's "Santorini". Outstanding work, as usual, my friend.
ReplyDeleteVery abstract in nature, yet it works well as a restful piece for the dogs. Well done Ed!
ReplyDeleteEdward, this is wonderful! Love the dogs looking into the negative space and the combination of curved and angled lines, very, very nice. I am thrilled to have this in my book, most definitely a painting I will treasure.
ReplyDeleteBeuatifully done Ed. Those dogs lazing in the sun are perfect.
ReplyDeleteI have been to other Greek islands and this really evokes the tranquil, timeless mood I remember there. I can't believe what a feeling of peace (HEY! That's MY theme!! haha) you have captured here. And the sleepy expression on the dogs' faces is so perfectly appropriate. I think I'm falling asleep myself...
ReplyDeleteLove it, Edward!
