Venice nights - DOMINIQUE EICHI
11 x 9 Oil (on gessoed watercolor paper )
This is for Vern's Moleskins. Since he has been creating pictures from his trip to Germany I thought I would give him something from my trip to Italy. This is the only night scene I have of Venice and I had it to paint it one day. So here it is Vern you get my first oil in the moleskins.
( I guess this time I made it on my own deadline ... lol )

Dominique, this is absolutely awesome. This belongs in a museum. The colors, the lighting, everything is just so-o-o good. I'm still standing in awe.
ReplyDeleteI agree with James, this is specTACular, Dominique. The reflections on the water in front of the cafes, the glow on the buildings and the way the distance fades into a haze... my GOODness this is reaaaally special and a quantum leap in your oil painting skill! The colors are so rich, too. WOW, I'm extremely impressed!
