This is for Edward , his theme is music. I am a travel agent working with many rock/pop stars.Owen is one of them and I love his music.
Pallett is best known as the principal member of the band Owen Pallett (formerly "Final Fantasy") which is essentially a solo project.
This is oil and I wish I had more time to work on it.
Aha..Palett from the palette to the canvas. Interesting spin on the theme...I like it. Good composition, Irit...and the colors work great.
ReplyDeleteI love the rythum this piece has! it's like you can feel the melody pull through the piece!

This is wonderful - great composition and feeling. Thank you, Irit!
ReplyDeleteI love it Irit. I love the movement it has I agree with Carmelina. I can feel the pleasure he has playing. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteI love the movement of this Irit! I can almost hear the music he is swaying and playing to. Lovely piece!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Irit...it's neat that you know this musician too!
ReplyDeleteWonderful work, Irit! You captured his exuberance and passion.
ReplyDeleteVery well done, Irit. I'm with the others here, you've got a great sense of movement and this will be a great contribution to Edward's book.
ReplyDeleteThe pose is in rhythm itself! I think you have made the point with this piece and it won't need more work. Great!
ReplyDeleteGreat work, Irit. I love his posture and the expression on his face...it has so much feeling to it!
ReplyDeleteEveryone, be *sure* to click on this one for a larger view! Irit, this is one of my top faves ever of yours. You have really conveyed his being transported emotionally with his music (the lifted eyebrow is perfect) and the circular movement in the composition along with that GORgeous spread of trees in the background... I am transported right along with him and I can imagine the violin sounds. I like his Gumby-like body, too as it goes well with the lyrical feeling of the musical theme. Exceptional work!
ReplyDeleteA side note, Irit. I love the painting, but... the only way we can have whirled peas is to stop the violins.
ReplyDeleteArt you can practically "listen" to! Very well done, Irit!
ReplyDeleteIrit, you really portrayed him "feeling the music" beautifully. I like the way his figure fills the page. Well done.
