Irit has her theme local places. But I couldn't get any inspiration from where I had been locally recently, but I love my cluttered room. I could spend all day there and I wondered, what if, my best friend, Christ, came into my Clutter? What would He do? I then used my Italian friend as a model to set up the possiblity of this happening? What do you think would happen? I think He'd look up and pray I.............
I have done this piece in gouache on mount-board.

ReplyDeleteOh so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe invitation to come and hang out and enjoy his presence is beautiful even in our clutter rooms...... yea !
Another wonderful piece, Adebanji!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. I love the shimmer of the robes and the point of view. I think He's with you no matter your location. Your work is always inspired.
ReplyDeleteOh so beautiful, Adebanji. I like the combination of textures and the opposing diagonal lines leading our eyes to Christ, outstanding!
ReplyDeleteI just received this book...it's fantastic in person!!! Love the idea behind this painting.
ReplyDeleteps...I don't believe messy rooms would get Christ's attention as much as cluttered souls. :)
I agree with Dean...another superb art piece.
ReplyDeleteHow great that you happened to have a friend who looks like many people's idea of what Christ looked like. Although from what I hear, he may have had much darker skin. No matter what, this is very nice and I like that smile which says, Adebanji, I love you just the way you are! What clutter? :D
ReplyDeleteFabulous piece Adebanji. I'm so slow in commenting here, that I can say in real life, (because it is now in my possession), it is even more impressive.
